What is Desktop as a Service (DaaS)?

Desktop as a Service (DaaS) is cloud computing that allows business to deliver cloud computing to any device, from anywhere. DaaS solutions provide complete hosted desktops for applications and emails, securely over the internet.

How does DaaS work?

DaaS is offered as a subscription service, it is a multi-tenant with a virtual desktop infrastructure. Cloud hosted virtual machines run desktop operating systems and applications. The customer’s desktop is then streamed to end-user devices.

As a DaaS provider, we manage the VDI deployment and maintenance. The customer is responsible for managing the applications and desktop images. DaaS mostly suits businesses that do not want to invest in an on-premises VDI server, or businesses who seek mobility over the workplace.

What’s the difference between VDI and DaaS?
